This moment is a culmination of years and years of organizing by the democratic socialist movement—by DSA, Democratic Socialists of America, the organization that Zohran is a proud member of and proud organizer in, that first endorsed his State Assembly run, and brought him to where he is now.

Zohran won not just because of his platform, convictions, and courage—shaped by the countless democratic socialists who struggled alongside him; but because he knew, from the beginning of his political career, that it isn’t talented individuals who will save us from a world going up in flames.

It is every single one of us coming together, taking collective action—in our workplaces, neighborhoods, streets, and ballot box — who will bring to birth a new world from the ashes of the old.

Zohran hasn’t done this alone, and cannot do this alone. He will need an unprecedented level of us uniting intentionally, through organization, to implement any part of his vision.

Take your vote, your phonebank, and your canvass to an organization. Join DSA, the largest socialist organization in the country, and build the better world that you, your loved ones—that all of us deserve.
